NEDRA is seeking nominees for the organization's board of directors - both self-nominations and nominations of your colleagues are enthusiastically welcomed.

Being a board member gives you the opportunity to expand your professional network and be an advocate for the fundraising intelligence profession!

NEDRA board members serve a two-year term beginning in July. The board meets several times a year in person and monthly by phone - board members also attend selected NEDRA workshops and the annual conference.

The NEDRA board consists of at least 12 members who rotate and share responsibilities to:

  • Perform executive leadership and governance duties
  • Organize programs, boot camps and the annual conference
  • Produce, edit, and distribute NEDRA News
  • Design and author marketing materials
  • Secure sponsors for conference and other programming opportunities
  • Grow and diversify membership
  • Collaborate with association management staff
  • Develop other member services and manage volunteer committees
  • Investigate and implement social media and other cutting edge tools to engage members throughout all of New England, and work to provide meaningful content through online or other virtual means
  • Be passionate advocates for the profession

Board nominee criteria includes:

  • Experience in prospect research, management, analytics, or related industries
  • Active NEDRA membership
  • Prior volunteer involvement with NEDRA (e.g. contributor to NEDRA News, conference presenter, program speaker or host, etc.)
  • Interest in helping others advance in the profession as demonstrated by leadership within the workplace and/or among professionals in the field
  • Other relevant volunteer experience
  • Brings diversity of perspectives on the board (e.g. geographic diversity, institution type, institution size, etc.)

Upon receipt of a nomination, a member of the Nominating Committee will contact the nominee to verify their interest in serving on the board and to answer any questions. The nominee will then be asked to submit a resume, and to have a short telephone interview with members of the Nominating Committee.
