Are you left wondering what proceeds a prospect may have received in a private company merger or acquisition? Private companies are difficult to value as available info is usually limited and sketchy. Professional evaluators and business owners (or other insiders) have access to detailed information that researchers will likely never be able to access. As researchers, we can find a way to use wide estimates to arrive at broad conclusions. This session is meant to be a basic research session on private company valuation methodology.
Hugh Bennett is the Associate Director of Research for MIT. A former investment banker, he has over twenty years of experience with financings, mergers, and valuations.
Below is a link to the MIT Alumni Association and Resource Development Building on the MIT Campus map.
Public entrance is on the Memorial Drive side. The session will meet in the 6th floor conference/event room.
This building is on the Boston MBTA bus line known as the CT2 (which runs between Sullivan Square to Kendall Square to Ruggles; our stop is at Vassar & Amesbury Street stop).
There is a parking garage next door at the Cambridge Hyatt (for which there is a cost).
