The Marketing Committee serves as the promotional arm of the NEDRA board, ensuring that announcements are shared with the appropriate audience(s) in a timely manner. The Marketing Committee works closely with the Membership and Programming Committees, as well as with our administrative office, to strategize about how to get the word out about NEDRA activities, with a goal toward ensuring a high level of participation in activities and events. The Marketing Committee is co-chaired by Tim Wilson of Harvard Business School and Laura Parshall of MIT.
Marketing Committee volunteers are most needed at two critical times: (1) just prior to an event or other activity registration deadline (such as the conference registration deadline or the membership renewal deadline), to help spread the word and encourage registrations; and (2) immediately following an event, to help gauge participant interest and gather feedback that can be useful in the planning of future events/activities.
Although marketing activities take place throughout the year, the committee is busiest during the active time periods for NEDRA events, notably September-November and February-May. Depending on your availability, volunteers are encouraged to get involved for a single event, for a specific season, or for the entire year.
