DESCRIPTION:

Working in a small shop can be terrific and also challenging. No two days are the same and it is certainly never boring. Come chat with colleagues from other small shops and share ideas about how to maximize your efforts, prioritize the work, manage expectations of those you serve and celebrate your success!

FACILITATOR:

Diane Parsons has been the Prospect Research Analyst at The Governor's Academy since 2015. Prior to working at Gov's she was part of the Prospect Research team at the University of New Hampshire for almost eight years and was the Researcher at Colby-Sawyer College from 1990-1993 and the Director of Prospect Research from 2002 to 2008, also at Colby-Sawyer. Diane has seen dramatic changes in the field from the pre-internet days of trips to the library and calling Town Clerks for property values to research and screenings on a slim budget, to working in a six person shop and now back to a one-person shop.
