Join us for a lively roundtable discussion for development and research professionals at independent primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities, who are responsible for parent research and/or relations. Whether you are a one-person development office or a member of a research team, this discussion will give you the opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues. Come ready to discuss useful tools, best practices and challenges for identifying, engaging, and retaining parent prospects, particularly when you have limited staff and/or budget. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, examples and materials to share with the group. This session is open to all who are interested.

FACILITATOR:

Diane Parsons has been the Prospect Management and Research Analyst at The Governor's Academy since 2015. Prior to working at Gov's she was part of the Prospect Research team at the University of New Hampshire for almost eight years and was the Researcher at Colby-Sawyer College from 1990-1993 and the Director of Prospect Research from 2002 to 2008, also at Colby-Sawyer. Diane has seen dramatic changes in the field from the pre-internet days of trips to the library and calling Town Clerks for property values to research and screenings on a slim budget, to working in a six person shop and now back to a one-person shop.

The Governor's Academy is off of Exit 55 on I-95. Turn east off of the exit ramp. Stay on Central Street and cross a small bridge. Central Street becomes School Street which you will follow to the end. Turn left onto Elm Street and travel one mile before turning left onto the campus at The Governor’s Academy sign.

Once on campus, pass a white building on your right (Phillips) a right turn, then continue past Frost on your right and the French Student Center (under construction) on your left. After French, turn left into the parking lot. The Think Tank Will be in Frost.
