9:30 am - 10:00 am Networking

10:00 am - 11:30 am Program and Discussion

Join Rick Macdonald, Clark University’s Director of Planned Giving, for a discussion on planned giving and research. Rick will discuss planned giving vehicles like insurance and gifts of real estate that can help your donors make a bigger impact on your institution than they thought they were capable of making. Please bring your stories of collaboration between research and planned giving to share, or, if you don’t have a dedicated planned giving officer, bring your questions for Rick! Coffee and Irish soda bread will be served.

Facilitator:
Rick Macdonald is Clark University’s Director of Planned Giving. A graduate of UMass Amherst, Rick has served as Director of Business Development for the American Heart Association, Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving for Bay Path College, and most recently as a Major Gift Officer with the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. In his spare time, Rick is a strength and performance coach for young athletes, and enjoys volunteering for animal welfare organizations. He is looking forward to getting his boat back in the water and dusting off his golf clubs once the snow melts.
